What's the Big Idea 48-Hour Launch

Think you have a Big Idea for a new product or business?

Tell us about it and you may be selected as a participant in What’s The Big Idea 48-Hour Launch, presented by The Development Corporation of Knox County, the Knoxville Chamber, and the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center.

Here is how it works….

Step 1
Apply To Participate
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2017 What's the Big IDea? 48-Hour Launch through Feb. 3 at 5:00 p.m. Click here to apply.

Step 2
Participant Selection
A committee of judges will select six participants for the 48-Hour Launch which will be held February 24-26, 2017. Participants will be selected based on the potential for success of their product or business. 

Step 3
Team Building
The weekend-long boot camp will kick-off on Friday, February 24 at 6:00 p.m. with each of the six participants pitching their ideas to an audience of specialists and mentors. After all of the participants have pitched their ideas, they will be assigned a team of people who will help them move their idea from concept to launch-ready over the next two days. 

What’s the Big Idea Finale
On Sunday, February 26 at 6 p.m., each of the participants will pitch their refined ideas to a panel of judges and an overall winner will be selected.

The winner will receive a Big Idea Launch Package that includes access to a $10,000 grant applicable towards start-up reimbursement costs, office space, and complimentary business services. The winner must complete the Knoxville Entrepreneur Center's CO.STARTERS Program in order to tap into the cash grant.
